CONCLUSION QUESTIONS
3.1.1
1. Describe how these motors and sensors may be used.
The motor and sensors the sensor can tell the motor when some thing is coming and then the motor could operate the machine. For example a sensor can see a person coming towards a door then the motor could open it.
2. Describe scenarios where the motors or sensors did not respond as you would predict.
I don't remember.
3.1.2
1. Describe any challenges that you encountered while developing the program.
I struggled in the fact of getting the board set up i couldn't figure out where the board was and I couldn't figure out how to down load the firmware so I couldn't even start the coding until i got the firmware set up. Alex and i finally figured it out and we started the coding.
2. Describe how these outputs might be used in an application.
These outputs could be used for multiple things such as crate a strobe light, the electronic signs, and much much more.
3.1.3
1. Describe any challenges that you encountered while developing the program.
The only thing i had trouble with is the potentiometer, this is because mine wasn't working at the time and i didn't have a clue. so i went on thinking my code was wrong trying to fix everything just to find out it was broken.
2. Describe three applications for the use of sensors that you worked with in this activity.
The Line follower can detect the amount of light so if there is an object a certain distance away the line follower can detect it and this will tell the motor or something else to do a specific job. The ultrasonic distance senor is kind of like the same thing but instead of light it depends on the distance of the object so if u were 10 feet away the sensor would detect you and turn the motor on. The last sensor is the optical shaft encoder this is where you must spin the gear until it reaches a certain position before it can activate or turn off something.
3.1.4
1. Describe any challenges that you encountered while developing the programs.
The only problem that i encountered is trying to set up the infinite loop but that was the only problem once i did it it was very easy.
2. Describe one application each for While loops and If-Else structures.
You can use the while loop to create a strobe light because the light will turn off and on rapidly the else structure will keep something from happening such as if a student has a 60 in the grade book else wold send the code so he can pass.
3.1.5
1. Describe any challenges that you encountered while developing the program.
I did not encounter a problem .
2. Describe applications for variables and functions.
3.1.6
1. Describe an open loop system that has not already been given as an example. Could the system benefit from feedback? Justify your answer.
2. Describe a closed loop system that has not already been given as an example. Describe the feedback utilized. Explain why this type of feedback is utilized.
